Can you give me an example of what kind of duties an Au Pair will perform?
Well an Au Pair can start by helping your kids get ready for school. She may from time to time prepare breakfast. After breakfast, she'll take them to school, then return home to do some tidying up. You may want her to pick the kids up from school and prepare them tea. After tea, the Au Pair might supervise them doing homework or perhaps play with them until you return home. During their homework, she may take care of the ironing or washing. And finally you may want to spend an evening out away from the kids, so she'll perform babysitting duties.

Do we have to pay extra for babysitting?
No, as long as you do not exceed their overall working hours.

In relation to the Au Pair, Is there anything extra we need to pay for?
No, as long as their working hours are not exceeded. However some families help with things like, gym membership, language courses etc although these are considered as "perks".

As a single parent, can I have an Au Pair?
Yes, mother's and father's alike.

Can my elderly mother have an Au Pair to help her with housework, cooking and a little companionship?
Absolutely, this can be a perfect situation for a lot of Au Pairs. As it usually gives them a little more time for studying plus it usually means regular conversations in English.

What are my responsibilities towards the Au Pair?
The Au Pair should be considered your "extended" family which is why we take care in selecting suitable Au Pair's that will fit into your family lifestyle. So as a family member you are responsible for their general wellbeing, as well as providing a room with board.

How long can I have an Au Pair for?
An Au Pair initially gets permission to stay for twelve months. Although this can be extended to a maximum stay of 2 years. Of course, should you wish, we can arrange for a new Au Pair after this two year period.

What costs will I need to pay the agency?
There are two costs you will need to pay us. A registration fee and a placement fee, that is all. There are no other hidden costs of any kind.
